Farewell to our Friend... Dr. Larry Smith joined SET Family Medical Clinics in August, 1998.His past dedication to our organization included serving as a member of the SET Board of Directors.Larry was Chairman of the Board for four years and Medical Director for six years.He volunteered his time at our Family Clinic in the evenings and at our Homeless Clinic during the day.He was also a “Spiritual Companion Volunteer.” When Dr. Smith was assisting patients in our community, he was gentle, warm and caring.He was patient and Children adored him at the clinics and will surely miss his sincere, kind spirit. Everyone appreciated his caring demeanor and his professionalism in whether assisting his patients or just every day activities. Dr. Smith always had a story to tell and everyone was “all ears” when he did!And there were many stories to be told! Dr. Smith shared his knowledge with delight to all whom encountered him.He had compassion for his profession and his Lord was seen in every breath he took.He was called Dr. Larry, Fr. Larry and the man in charge befitting the role he held.His faith in the Lord, his Savior, shined through his eyes and his smile. Thank you Dr. Smith for touching our lives...you will be deeply missed.
